Review Of The Breville BJE430SIL Juice Fountain Cold
Breville is among the most highly respected brands within the centrifugal juicer marketplace. This brand is renowned for manufacturing powerful, efficient and durable juicers. One of the best examples of this is the Breville BJE430SIL Juice Fountain Cold.
I am very impressed by the unique features offered by this juicer. The reason why the Breville BJE430SIL stands apart from all of the centrifugal juicers to me is due to its cooling technology. It is a very important feature because it solved a couple of major issues that centrifugal juicers are associated with – the destruction of nutrients and short shelf life.
When the BJE430SIL is used, juice can be stored for as long as 72 hours. That is the same shelf life that cold-pressed juices have. So if you are looking for the affordability and convenience that a centrifugal juicer offers combined with a masticating juicer’s health benefits, then the Breville BJE430SIL may provide you with the perfect combination of features.
After I had been juicing for some time with my Breville JE98XL, I started to become quite frustrated with how short the shelf life was for the juice that it produced. I could store my juice for only 24 hours before it started turning bad. Also, the heat that was produced by the rapidly spinning blades of the juicer was ruining many of the juice’s nutrients.
When the Breville BJE430SIL was first released, it caught my attention immediately. This is an 850-watt centrifugal juicer, meaning it still can grind through most of the produce easily and quickly. The Cold Spin Technology, however, allows more enzymes, minerals, and vitamins to be retained.
The Juice Fountain Cold has much more to it. Also, it comes with a so-called elevated juicing system, which supposedly allows juice to flow in greater quantities through its elevated nozzle. That sounds good, however, in reality, my experience has been that the juice flow is not much more than with the other Breville juicers.
Now that a super-sized 70-ounce juice jug has been added you can make a large quantity of juice at the same time. If you are somebody who likes making a couple of day’s of juice, or you are juicing for the entire family, then the machine may make a lot of sense for you.
There are some similarities between the Breville BJE430SIl and the Breville Juice Fountain Plus. There are two-speed settings on both of them – the higher setting is perfect for harder produce, and the lower speed is better for softer ingredients. Another thing they have in common is a three-inch wide feeder chute.
Having an extra wide chute results in you needing less prep time and you can push through whole oranges, beets, and apples. However, a large pulp container comes with the Breville BJE430SIL. Also, regarding quality it is an improvement over the Juice Fountain Plus due to its unique technological features.
To maximize the benefits that juicing provides, it is worth it to have a good quality juicer. With all of the different brands and styles on the market, it definitely can be hard to know which is the best one to select. The reason I am writing this review is so that I can show you the pros and cons of the Breville BJE430SIL and what it is like using it for juicing. One thing to keep in mind is centrifugal machines, which does include the Breville BJE430SIL, are not too efficient when it comes to juicing leafy greens.
The juicer’s rapidly spinning blades will struggle with getting as much juice as it can from produce like wheatgrass, spinach, romaine lettuce, cabbage, and kale.
If you are planning on juicing leafy greens on a regular basis, then the better choice for you might be a masticating juicer. My personal favorite is the Omega J8006 for getting the highest yield out of leafy greens. However, if you are mainly going to be juicing firmer veggies and fruits, the Breville BJE430SIL Juice Fountain Cold may be ideal for you.
